According to the American Heart Association (AHA), essential fatty acids are beneficial in boosting energy, supporting cell growth & aiding in nutrients absorption!  Fatty acids that the body cannot synthesize are also known as essential fatty acids or commonly called Omega-fatty acids.

Essential fatty acids must be obtained from food eg: Omega-3, Omega-6 fatty acids & other Omega fatty acids.  Studies showed that mammals are unable to synthesize the omega−3 fatty acids which can only obtain it through diet.
